Ottos O.F.B. was developed by Otto Wilde Grillers because a crunchy crust and juicy meat are no coincidence, but the result of extreme grilling temperatures of up to 900°C. With conventional grills, the steak can have a dull crust and a dry core, due to low grilling temperatures and too long a grilling time. The O.F.B. Lite reaches up to 900°C, which gives the steaks a perfect crust, while the meat remains tender and juicy inside. The high temperatures lead to the so-called Maillard reaction. It is responsible for the beautiful crust and the grill taste. The roasting substances give the grilled food the typical "sizzle aroma" and intensify the meat taste. In conventional grills, fat and meat juices also drip into the heat source, causing flames and grease fires and disrupting the even heat distribution. Charred or unevenly cooked food can be the result. The top heat of Otto's O.F.B. Lite creates an even crust, and the fat drips into the drip tray underneath. The infrared burner is infinitely variable. The open front not only allows easy access to the grilled food, you can also always keep an eye on the steaks. Since you grill at 900 degrees, the grate height must be adjustable. With the multifunction lever, the grate can be easily pulled out and pushed back in in one of the 6 possible positions. Specially developed for the Otto Wilde Grillers O.F.B., the cast iron grill grate optimally stores the heat, requires minimal maintenance and is large enough to grill even the largest porterhouse steaks.
